She's doing it again! Marie Greene is doing her 9th (!!) 4 Day Knit-a-long beginning July 4th, and we are right there with her. This year's design is called Astro Pop, and you can pre-order the design on Ravelry now (here's the link - and it's $2 off before June 13th).
If you haven't done one before, you pre-order the pattern now, get your yarn together, swatch, and get ready to cast-on when the pattern hits your email on July 4th. It's a great excuse to make people do things for you for a few days (or more), since we know we often take care of everyone else. Joining the KAL is also a great way to disconnect from the challenges of every day life and just knit. What happens if it takes longer than 4 days? Nothing :) You finish it when you finish it. But it is a lovely summer sweater that you may want to be able to wear this summer.
We're a participating shop, so we've paired two of our yarns: BC Garn Summer in Kashmir (90% cotton/10% cashmere - we're adding a few colors) and Pascuali's Mohair Bliss (60% superkid mohair/40% silk) to knit together to make your Astro Pop. We think the cotton and silk will make it perfect for warm weather knitting and wearing. Check out the 7 color palettes we've put together above, or create your own. We're knitting up our sample now!
We've calculated yardage for each of the 9 sizes, so choose your color palette now. This kit includes that yarn you'll need for the size you choose; it does not include the pattern from Marie.
