Seed Stitch Cowl Free Pattern

Description

Our Free Easy Tutorial Design for the Seed Stitch Cowl is a perfect project if you've learned how to knit and purl and want to take it to the next level.  It's designed for beginners who have learned the knit stitch and purl stitch, but not much else, and the digital version is integrated with KnitSchool (our knitting skills videos).

Materials:

YARN:

Any super bulky weight yarn. You will need two skeins of yarn of either Erika Knight Maxi Wool or Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok North.  If you’re using another yarn, you will need at least 130 m (142 yds). Yarn amounts given are based on average requirements and are approximate. 

NEEDLES & NOTIONS:

Size 12 mm straight needles (or US size 17)
Tapestry needle for sewing in the ends
Scissors

GAUGE:

8 stitches & 13 rows = 10 cm/4" in seed stitch, although matching gauge exactly isn’t necessary for this project

FINISHED DIMENSIONS:

32" circumference; 10" wide
