Our Seawalk Beanie is a great first hat project. It's a simple stockinette stitch beanie, and you knit it flat and then seam it up at the end. You'll wear it all winter long. We've designed it to work with Jorstad Creek Arranmore, Sincere Sheep Cormo Worsted, or Erika Knight Vintage Wool. The model is in Jorstad Creek Arranmore in Seafoam.
Our Row House Tutorial Design integrates our skills videos via hotlinks in the PDF to teach you to decrease for the crown of the beanie, sew up the top, and seam it up at the end. If you're looking to make your first hat, and you are comfortable knitting (and maybe purling), this is a great project for you.
