North Ave is a 100% wool, two-ply, woolen spun, fingering weight yarn. Each of the plies is a different colorway, and they are spun together for a truly unique yarn. North Ave is kettle dyed in Baltimore and spun at Harrisville Designs in New Hampshire, and the wool is sourced from New Zealand farms that do not practice mulesing. It's the first yarn from Plied Yarn, a company created by Karida Collins and Ann Weaver.
This yarn is kettle dyed in small batches, so each batch may be a little bit different, and we recommend buying all of the yarn you need for a project at one time. We also suggest alternating skeins when knitting projects, as each skein is unique.
North Ave has a slight heathered appearance. It has good stitch definition, and it has medium drape.
