Murder Mystery Knitting Weekend - Kenmore (Seattle) WA

*** Early bird registration will end July 24th. Don't miss out on the early bird registration savings! ***

*** Our last event sold out, so don't wait to book your spot ***

Join us for a knitting-filled murder mystery weekend in Kenmore, WA (just outside Seattle) from October 25th to 27th, 2024!  Our Founder, Cheryl, will be joined at the *skein of the crime* by Melissa Leapman (yes, that Melissa Leapman!) to host you for the knitting portion of a weekend that requires both your sleuthing and knitting skills.  We’ll be at The Lodge at St. Edward Park, in Kenmore, WA for a murder mystery weekend.  The murder mystery is for everyone (not just knitters and crocheters).  For knitters (and crocheters!), we'll be adding on plenty of fun, swag, knitting time.

The murder mystery kicks off Friday, October 25th, at cocktail hour, and the murderer is revealed on Sunday, October 27th, at breakfast (we’ll also have a farewell lunch Sunday afternoon just for knitters – see below!).  The Murder Mystery Weekend package at The Lodge at St. Edward Park includes two nights hotel, cocktail hour with heavy appetizers on Friday, three meals on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday, as well as the murder mystery entertainment.  The price is based on double occupancy, and the information (and registration details) are available on The Lodge's web page (linked here).  If you want to join us for the murder mystery knitting package, you must reserve your room and murder mystery package with The Lodge at St. Edward Park, in addition to purchasing the Knitting Detective Package here.

In addition to the above, knitters/crocheters who purchase the “Knitting Detective” Package through Row House will also get the following:

  • Access to our private knitting room to connect with other Knitting Detectives and Melissa Leapman (and knit or crochet!)
  • Gift bag, which includes a kit of Melissa Leapman's Honky Tonk Shawl with BC Garn Bio Balance in the colors of your choice, and other goodies (shipped in early October)
  • Meet and Greet and Knit on Friday night after the cocktail hour, a casual space and time to meet the other Knitting Detectives
  • A Honky Tonk Shawl class with Melissa Leapman to walk you through mosaic knitting skills in the shawl
  • Murder Board Knit-a-long – just like the professionals, we’ll assemble for a private session to work through the suspects and the clues to make progress on solving the case – while knitting!
  • A Frog It or Fix It session - do you have a project in *time out* and you'd like help deciding what its punishment should be?  Bring your project and share it with the group.
  • Farewell lunch – after the live murder entertainment has concluded, we’ll assemble one last time for a light lunch Sunday and some final knitting time before people head home.

To join us:

1)  To make sure there are rooms available, you'll need to reserve the Murder Mystery Weekend package at The Lodge at St. Edward Park to ensure that you have the hotel/meals/murder mystery entertainment to join us for the weekend.  You need to reserve both a murder mystery package and the Knitting Detective Package to join us.

2)  Purchase your Knitting Detective Package with us!  Here's the link with more information and registration details.
